November 21, 2010

Air21, your total logistics solutions provider, presents its new hub for domestic operations at the Merville Warehouse in Bicutan, Parañaque on 21 November 2010.

The Merville Warehouse is the Lina Group of Companies’ 12th warehouse and “will be the model of our facilities as we move along”, says LGC Chairman Bert Lina. To accommodate greater volume of shipments, Air21 is now focusing its domestic operations in the Merville Warehouse while international priority for FedEx is still maintained at Cargohaus in NAIA Complex, Parañaque. This move improves the business in terms of work efficiency and financial capacities. Airfreight 2100, more popularly known as Air21, is the licensee of FedEx in the Philippines.

Groups that hold office in this warehouse are Account Management, Traffic Management, Ground Operations, Warehouse Logistics, and Go21. Centralizing these offices in one place shortens the lead time as communication and coordination is already in one hub. This makes the target delivery for clients attained. Facilities inside the Merville Warehouse include cold temperature room, cages, loading dock, crating services, and racking system. The warehouse uses the INFOR system for inventory.

A Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr. Doroteo S. Andres, also known as Fr. Pogi, graced the event. Chairman Bert Lina and family together with Air21 Operations Group led the ceremonial ribbon cutting followed by blessing of the entire warehouse.

To cap the event, Chairman Bert Lina inspired everyone with his vision that the new warehouse “will be the landmark of the Philippine logistics” due to its strategic location and promising impact in the industry.
