By admin on March 21st, 2011

AIR21, your total logistics solutions provider, broadens its reach with the inauguration of a new domestic hub, the AIR21 San Fernando Warehouse, located in Lasatin Avenue, San Fernando, Pampanga on 21 March 2011. San Fernando Mayor Oscar Rodriguez welcomes AIR21 by saying, “I believe that you didn’t commit a mistake, Bert, in choosing the City of San Fernando, Pampanga as your main office for the domestic operations of AIR21”, addressing the statement to AIR21 Chairman & President Bert Lina.

“Ginawaran na kami ng award sa buong mundo, sa mga LGUs ng Hall of Fame Award in Strategy Execution”, says the proud mayor. The city houses other recognitions like the Most Outstanding Sangguniang Panglungsod of the Philippines (2010),  RP’s Most Business Friendly Local Government Unit (City Category, Level 1) 2009, and Certificate of Recognition to the LGU-CSFP as the Pilot City in LGU in Pampanga for the National Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) Streamlining Program that provides Mayor’s Permit issuance within 60 minutes.

Chairman Bert Lina assures Mayor Rodriguez of AIR21’s commitment in proper tax returns through the waybill system that proves the origin of the deliveries. He says, “ang inyong AIR21, ang lahat ng nanggagaling ng San Fernando ay binabayad namin ng buwis. So all over the country, whenever we do our business, kung ang origin is from the LGU, we base our business permit on the gross receipts”.

The new domestic hub for North and Central Luzon (NCL) sits near the North Luzon Expressway exit. “Kung malapit tayo sa mga exit, madali natin ma-mobilize ung mga truck”, according to Glenn Mendoza, Domestic Priority & Gateway Operations Manager of the AIR21 San Fernando Warehouse.

San Fernando, Pampanga is a good bed for logistics operations due to safe roads that assure clients of secured shipments during transit time, adds Mendoza.

Pampanga’s strategic location is bound to be a global gateway once the North Railway starts to operate.

The hub serves as the center for sorting and dispatch of shipments from the Tarlac, Baguio, Bataan, and Subic stations. As Chairman Lina says, the new warehouse will be “the regional hub of AIR21 and FedEx”.

Rev. Fr. Raul delos Santos presided the blessing that followed the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Along with the inauguration is the awarding of AIR21 Clark Station as best station which managed the Metrodrug Project very well in 2010.
